“Vacation was great, but it feels good to be home.” “Home, Sweet, Home.” These statements are charged with emotion and tenderness for the sacred space we call home. Now these statements may have a different focus as we are living through the stay-at-home orders. We used to leave home early in the morning and return late afternoon or evening. Many of us longed to spend more time at home. Now, we work or go to school from home, and leaving home is limited to brief trips for necessities. Rushing from activity to activity is replaced by spending valuable time together with family members. Is this present situation perhaps inviting us to understand that our home is really our center—the source of who we are? Spending time there grounds us in appreciating the important things in life. So, let’s enjoy HOME to the fullest today.
