Daily Meditation for September 4, 2020

Colorful store ads, Labor Day and the month of September are all reminders that it is “back to school” time for students, teachers, staff, bus drivers and other helpers, with one big difference this fall of 2020. Because of the COVID-19 virus making its destructive presence felt among so many of us, our daily lives and schedules have been turned upside down. Normal family life has been disrupted. Our normal schedules for events, family gatherings, coming and going as we please, have all been brought to a decisive halt. Each day brings a certain amount of stress and uncertainty about our future. Looking for stability and some assurance that we will get through this crisis, we may well find ourselves turning to God in prayer, relying on our faith, hope and love to bring us to our loving God who is nearer to us than we could ever imagine. Together with God, we will get through this.
