“Welcome home.” “Vacation was great, but it feels good to be home.” “Home, sweet, home.” These statements are charged with emotion and tenderness for the sacred space we call home. Now these statements may have a different focus as we are living through the stay-at-home orders. Very likely, most of us are used to leaving home early in the morning and returning late afternoon or early evening. Time spent at home is minimal and most of us long to spend more time at home. Now, rushing from activity to activity is replaced by spending valuable time together with family members. Is this present situation perhaps inviting us to understand that our home is really our center—the source of who we are and spending time there grounds us in appreciating the important things in life? So, let’s enjoy HOME to the fullest today.
