Daily Meditation for November 4, 2019

We have already buried three of our sisters this past month. You, too, may have said goodbye to a beloved mother, father, child, sister or brother. November is a special month to address our God who listens to the cry of the person who trusts. Let us pray, then, Psalm 116:

“I love you, God, for you have heard me and listened to my prayer. You have inclined your ear to me, I will call on you as long as I live. The bonds of death closed in on me; the snares of the grave bound me tight; I suffered distress and anguish. Then I called on your name, O God: O God, save my life! You are gracious and just, merciful and full of compassion. You save those with simple hearts; when I was brought low, you saved me. I will walk before you, O God, in the land of the living.”
