Someone recently posed the question: “What is happening on the Ides of March?” Here is a response. We hope that the continuous coming of Christ into our lives is still giving life and light to our world. Believe that what is actually happening in our world is in exact proportion to how much love, life and light we experience in our own families, communities, towns and work places. Catholic Worker, Craig Gould, recently wrote: “The problem of the current age is that we struggle with love because we struggle with community. We do not so much live together as live around each other. We orbit each other like planets, close enough to react to one another but not close enough to be transformed.” So, are we in orbit around one another? Or are we being transformed? Does this also influence the next step to solving our global situation?
