Nancy wondered aloud how much time she spent in her lifetime waiting for things to happen. She was doing it again today with joyful expectancy. Sitting near the window, she quietly reminisced about the other waits she had experience in her life. Waiting for the birth of her children was a hope-filled time. Watching and waiting for the child in her arms to drop into deep warm sleep was always lovely. Some waits were difficult, but most of the time they held blessings. Her best childhood wait was for Christmas. Now the car was in the driveway. She switched on the tree lights, opened the door and with squeals of delight the grandchildren tumbled through the door. She was covered with hugs and moist kisses. The love of Christmas had come again.
