Daily Meditation for January 22, 2018

by Betty Larson, OSB

In recent Sunday Readings, we have heard the theme of call. They described the call of Moses and the call of Samuel. God called them to take leadership in leading the people closer to him. These readings challenge us to take time to listen with the ear of our heart to the voice of the Spirit within. Sometimes this call will come in times of quiet reflection. At other times God, uses people to guide us in the direction that we should walk. To what is God calling you today?
It may be a call to take time for quiet and prayer, or a call to reach out to the poor and the lonely. Take time each day – just a few minutes – to listen and be alert to God’s call in your life. What does he want you to do today?
