Guidelines and Nomination

To view the guidelines for the Mother Benedicta Riepp Award, click here.

To nominate someone for the award, please review the guidelines. You should describe the nominee's significant contributions that have had or are having a positive impact on others. Be as specific and objective as possible, and include her relationship to the Sisters of the Order of Saint Benedict, her living of Gospel and Benedictine values, her aspirations in life and her leadership and volunteer service that have made a difference. Please refer to the characteristics and core Benedictine values listed as guides in describing the nominee.

Your nomination must make the case for the individual person, as this application narrative is the only thing that will be considered by the selection committee. You may ask one or two others for help in fleshing out your nomination narrative. At this time the nominee is not informed. You should submit your nominations either by e-mail as a Word attachment, or by mail as a Word document, typed or handwritten document. Please email or mail your narrative to Sister Patricia Ruether at pruether@csbsju.edu or Saint Benedicts, Monastery, 104 Chapel Lane, St. Joseph, MN 56374.  Deadline for the 2016 award is Friday, June 10, 2016.
