1930-2010
80 Years of Ministry
among the Chinese
March 14 through December 23, 2010
Mission to China and Taiwan tells the story of the six Sisters who originally left St. Joseph, Minnesota, to establish a school in Peiping (Beijing) China in 1930. After enduring many hardships, even internment, the Sisters escaped to Taiwan just before the Communist revolution of 1949. The monastery they founded in Tanshui,Taiwan, became independent in 1988 and operates today.
