Hermitage: A place of solitude and prayer in the midst of a busy world

The Sisters of the Order of Saint Benedict built two hermitages on their property in 2007. One is for use by Sisters, and the other is open to the public. The Subiaco hermitage is simple, but not rustic. We are pleased to be able to offer people a true place of peace. Come for a night, a weekend, or a week—whatever works. Read on the screen porch, walk in the woods, pray with the Sisters, eat in the Monastic Dining Room or in the kitchen of the hermitage. You design your own retreat. We are now taking reservations for hermitage experiences. For more information, click on the link to the brochure below.
